According to the relevant requirements of the "Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Deepening Reform and Strengthening Food Safety Work", the 2024 National Food Safety Publicity Week is scheduled to be launched in late September. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

Second, the focus of publicity
(1) Thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, earnestly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's series of important expositions and important instructions on food safety, and highlight the theme of promoting honesty and thrift and sharing food safety.
(2) Food enterprises are honest and self-disciplined, produce and operate in accordance with laws and regulations, firmly establish the awareness of the main responsibility of food safety, improve the level of quality and safety management, and promote the sustainable and healthy development of the food industry.
(3) Carry forward the traditional virtues of diligence and thrift of the Chinese nation, continue to consolidate the achievements of countering food waste, advocate the social trend of "practicing strict economy and opposing waste", and promote the establishment of a civilized and rational consumption concept.
(4) The enterprise shall appoint food safety directors and food safety officers in accordance with laws and regulations, implement risk list management, and effectively implement the main responsibility; All regions have improved the working mechanism for hierarchical and hierarchical precise prevention and control, and the end of the force and the end of the terminal to achieve results, and strictly implement the responsibility of territorial management; All departments strictly perform their duties and responsibilities, strengthen inspection and law enforcement, severely punish violations and crimes, and jointly build a strong line of defense for food safety; Industry associations (associations) play the role of bridges, guidance and supervision, and self-discipline and supervision.
(5) All sectors of society actively participate in food safety governance, publicize food safety laws and regulations, popularize food safety scientific knowledge, improve public food safety literacy, work together to protect and actively create a strong atmosphere of social co-governance and sharing.
(6) New ideas, new practices and new achievements in helping the high-quality development of the food industry and improving the satisfaction of the people in all regions and relevant departments.
3. Arrangement of activities
(1) At the national level. 28 departments and units, including the Food Safety Office of the State Council, jointly formulated the "National Food Safety Publicity Week National Key Activities and Division of Labor Plan" (see annex), and organized activities in accordance with the plan.
(2) Local level. Food safety offices at all levels, together with relevant departments and units at the same level, refer to the national level activity plan, combined with local conditions and characteristics, to organize and carry out publicity week activities.
(3) Social dimension. All regions and relevant departments mobilize and guide all kinds of social groups, business entities, associations (studies) and news media to widely carry out publicity activities on topics such as knowledge popularization, honest practice, and skills training for consumers and food practitioners.
Fourth, the relevant requirements
(1) strengthen organizational leadership. Establish a working mechanism for the organization and coordination of food safety offices at all levels, the responsibilities of relevant departments and units, and the active participation of the whole society. Strengthen personnel and financial guarantees to ensure the smooth progress of various activities and form a large-scale momentum. Simultaneously deploy safety protection measures such as fire protection, traffic, and anti-stampede, strictly investigate and eliminate hidden dangers, implement emergency plans, and strictly prevent accidents. Strictly abide by the spirit of the eight central regulations and the detailed rules for their implementation, strictly practice diligence and thrift, and strictly prohibit extravagance and waste, pomp and circumstance, and formalism.
Enhance the effectiveness of activities. Use a uniform "National Food Safety Awareness Week" logo. Do a good job in publicity, reporting, and news services, and earnestly form an all-media coverage pattern. Closely follow the laws of communication and public concerns, actively integrate the advantages of traditional media and emerging media, and constantly enrich publicity ideas and methods. Strengthen the monitoring of relevant public opinion during the publicity week, promptly study and judge, and release it safely, to ensure that the public opinion environment is stable and orderly.
